In July 2020, the members of the #culture2030goal organised a side event entitled "Culture - An Accelerator Under-Used? Realising the Potential of Culture for Short-term and Long-term Sustainable Development" in the context of the 2020 UN High Level Political Forum (HLPF).
The HLPF has a central role in the follow-up and review of the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and the SDGs. Based on a 4-year cycle, it revises every year the progress made on 3 to 5 SDGs at all levels of governance and implementation.
The event provided the opportunity to share the key messages of the #culture2030goal campaign on the fundamental importance of culture, sustainaibility and cities in times of crises.
